Fans again encouraged to ARRIVE EARLY for South Carolina St. game

Fans again encouraged to ARRIVE EARLY for South Carolina St. game

BLOOMINGTON, IN - The Indiana University football team hosts South Carolina State this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET at Memorial Stadium. To accommodate an early arriving crowd, parking lots around the stadium will open at 8 a.m. ET. Fans are again encouraged to ARRIVE EARLY and utilize alternative routes to remaining home games at Memorial Stadium to continue to avoid traffic challenges.

Fans heeding advice to arrive early and use alternative routes to avoid traffic problems, coupled with efforts by IU Athletics, local law enforcement, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), and its contractors to limit traffic congestion proved very successful for last weekend’s home opener, but road construction in and around Bloomington will remain a potential challenge for those driving on game days throughout the rest of the season.

"We can’t thank fans enough for arriving early and using alternative routes for last Saturday’s game,” said Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass. “Even though we hosted the largest opening game crowd in 20 years, traffic was extremely smooth. We encourage fans to continue to arrive early, use alternative routes, and avoid traffic jams for the rest of the season.”
