Hoosiers May Continue to File for Federally Extended Benefits

From: Joe Frank, Indiana Department of Workforce Development

Hoosiers eligible to receive federally extended unemployment insurance benefits will be able to continue filing for benefits this week. In order to receive payments on time and to make sure there are no issues with any claims or vouchers, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) advises all eligible Hoosiers to check their homepage on Uplink, Indiana’s online filing system, once a day for the next few weeks and respond to any links requiring more information for a claim or voucher. All links requesting further information must be completed before benefits can be paid. Those who have previously exhausted state regular unemployment benefits and the federally extended benefits (a maximum of 63 weeks), are not eligible for any further weeks of benefits. More information is available on DWD’s website, www.in.gov/dwd and in Uplink.

Format change at local radio station hopes to attract women listeners

Format change at local radio station hopes to attract women listeners

LOUISVILLE, KY – On Monday, December 24, Main Line Broadcasting launched Louisville’s only Soft Adult Contemporary at 105.1 FM as The New Easy Rock 105.1. This format change was the result of market research that clearly shows that women over the age of 40 want to hear a broader range of music from the decades when they were growing up into their adult lives.

There is no other radio station like The New Easy Rock 105.1 in Louisville. The city has several stations that super-serve the 25-40 year-old female audience, but none that cater to the female listener over the age of 40 until now. The women of Louisville are going to love hearing the great hits from core artists like, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Eagles, Celine Dion, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Gloria Estefan and many others.
